Expanded Two-Season Format, Four Men’s & Women’s Divisions, Nationwide Growth and Continued Endorsement from the United States Padel Association Highlight 2026 Campaign
Miami, FL — March 26, 2026 — Following a record-breaking 2025 season that solidified its position as the premier amateur padel team competition in the U.S., the National Padel League (NPL) today announced the launch of its 2026 USA National Team League season. Building on a year of unprecedented growth, the 2026 circuit will introduce a dual-season format (Spring and Fall), expanded women’s categories and a continued nationwide expansion across six major U.S. regions.
The 2025 USA National Team League season proved that the appetite for structured, competitive padel is at an all-time high. The league had over 1,900 registered players, ages 14 to 71, representing 130+ teams across 35+ cities. With 6 Regional Championships completed, the NPL has successfully created a clear, professional-grade pathway for amateur players to move from local club play to a national stage.
“2025 was a landmark year where we proved that the community-driven, team-based format is exactly what American padel needs,” said National Padel League Director, Luis Fernando Ramirez Aristeguieta. “For 2026, we are doubling down. By moving to a two-season format and significantly expanding our women’s divisions, we are ensuring that more players than ever have the opportunity to represent their cities and compete for a national title.”
“The NPL has been a wonderful partner of the United States Padel Association (USPA) and its success is another example of the growth of padel in the U.S.,” said United States Padel Association President, Bill Ullman. “By creating a national team format where players compete, improve, support their teammates and form lasting friendships, the NPL is helping to build the excitement, the national and regional communities and the padel excellence that will define the sport for years to come.”
New for the 2026 Season:
· Two National Seasons: To meet overwhelming demand, the NPL will now host both a Spring and Fall season in 2026
· Expanded Women’s Divisions: The 2026 season will feature four dedicated women’s categories (matching the four men’s categories)
· Launch of Digital Ecosystem: The NPL has transitioned to Tournated, an all-in-one sports management platform. This digital ecosystem unifies the NPL’s relationship with the USPA and World Padel Rating (WPR). All league registrations will now run through Tournated, and match results will be processed and posted faster than ever before.
· Structured Pathway to Nationals: The league continues its robust "City to Nationals" pipeline. City stage play leads to Regional Championships, culminating in the prestigious National Finals
· Official USPA Endorsement: The USA National Team League remains the only amateur team league officially endorsed by the United States Padel Association (USPA), ensuring the highest standards of play and integration with the national World Padel Rating.
